A friend recommended eating oatmeal. She says she eats it for breakfast whenever she is going to do something physical (Like riding a bike for hours).
I tried it & it works! I don't get hungry until much later and I had more energy than normal.

I do enjoy me some oatmeal, except when it's hot out.
The peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole grain bread works too. I use 1 tbsp of reduced fat peanut butter and that does the trick.
